Carnage could not be contained for long, and has now been unlocked! 

The next Stretch Goal likes to play hard to get.

If we reach $8,100k we will unlock the Kickstarter Exclusive living Kitty Pryde for all backers, including her Super Hero Piece, ID Card for playing her in Hero Mode, and Spawn Card for fighting her in Zombie Mode!

Note the X-Men Resistance core box is needed to play in Hero Mode.

HERO MODE: With her ability to phase in and out of a solid state, Kitty Pryde is pretty well equipped to handle the zombie apocalypse. Possessing Skills that make use of this power in various ways, she can slip past the hordes effortlessly as well as prevent harm to herself by reactively phasing out when attacked. And speaking of attacks, Kitty’s companion, Lockheed, is always by her side to supply a healthy dose of fireblast.

ZOMBIE MODE: Utilizing her power to phase through walls, no Zombie Hero is safe when Kitty is on the prowl.

Nightcrawler finally BAMFs for good!

Careful not to lose your mind to the next Stretch Goal.

HERO MODE: Being a World-Class Telepath, Emma Frost can use her various powers for a multitude of effects, ranging from creating powerful shields for herself and her allies to generating illusions to confuse enemies. Not to speak of turning her body into diamond to ignore damage!

ZOMBIE MODE: With her ability to track the Psionic emanations of living beings, Emma is capable of protecting nearby Bystanders. Combine this with powerful mind-controlling capabilities and she is a true threat to the Zombie Heroes!

Shiny! Emma Frost has joined the fight against the zombies!

We knew that cloud of brimstone was a bad omen.

If we reach $7,700k we will unlock the Kickstarter Exclusive zombie Nightcrawler for all backers, including his Zombie Hero Piece, ID Card for playing him in Zombie Mode, and Spawn Card for fighting him in Hero Mode!

ZOMBIE MODE: BAMF! Usually that's a sound that signals rescue… Not so when the one appearing happens to be a zombie! Capable of quickly teleporting to grab a quick bite, seldom will Nightcrawler find himself in a situation he can't get out of, or a Bystander he can't hunt down!

HERO MODE: The mobility that BAMF offers is great, but one of its greatest strengths is bypassing the defenses of his foes to strike where they least suspect it. In this case, delivering a well-placed bite!

HERO MODE: Making use of his teleportation powers, Nightcrawler isn't just an expert at quickly moving around the map, but also rescuing both Bystanders and other Super Heroes in need! Combine this with his impressive skills with the rapier and you have a quick, hard-hitting addition to any team!

ZOMBIE MODE: Appearing where he is least expected, Nightcrawler can quickly BAMF from target to target, even during a single Activation!

Daily Bugle – February 2: Evening Edition + Bad for Good!

Look alive, Heroes!

Before we dive into this evening's Daily Bugle, we have a special announcement! To celebrate the amazing results achieved in this campaign, we have a special surprise that’s been requested by many backers.

We are making Kickstarter Exclusive ID Cards to play Red Skull as a Super Hero and Thanos as a Zombie Hero! While they were meant to be used exclusively as villains in both Hero Mode and Zombie Mode, due to backer request we’ve decided to create special ID Cards so they can also be used as player characters! These exclusive cards will be added to the respective set of promos backers receive when including the Hydra Resurrection expansion and Guardians of the Galaxy Set as part of their pledges.

What really sets the Red Skull apart from others is his keen intellect and master planning, being able to strategize several steps ahead of anybody else. His leadership abilities influence the entire group of Super Heroes to perform at peak efficiency. Of course, being the ruthless commander that he is, he also has no objections to sending others to do his dirty work for him while reaping the rewards himself!

See anything different? Yes, listening to the request of our backers we have also decided to change the art and character piece of Thanos to include the Infinity Gauntlet, since it is such an important gameplay feature for him, not only as a villain, but also, as you will see, as a Zombie Hero!

As a Zombie Hero in possession of the Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos is as overpowered as you would expect, to the point where he can be used instead of a few regular Zombie Heroes. He Attacks with the strength of the Power Stone and Devours with the empowering ability of the Soul Stone. With each Skill he unlocks, he adds the power of the other Infinity Stones, gaining mastery over the Minds of his enemies, easily moving through Space, and finally bending Time and Reality to his will!

If you want the exclusive opportunity to use these powerful villains as heroes in your game, make sure to add the Hydra Resurrection and Guardians of the Galaxy Set to your pledge!

Or better yet, upgrade your pledge to either the Hungry Pledge or Devourer Pledge!

Harry is always supportive of his friends, and when rescued as a Bystander will allow Super Heroes to tap into better usage of their Heroic Traits, granting bonuses to nearby allies when they are used. Conversely, if he is Devoured in Zombie Mode, he will grant similar benefits to Zombie Traits. There is enough of him to go around!

J. Jonah Jameson is already in a heated discussion with his staff about tomorrow’s Morning Edition.
