It's time again for us take a moment to appreciate some examples of what the character pieces from this campaign can look like when painted! We have previously covered:

Jessica Jones has just flew in!

 Boosted by our recently revealed Tile Set Optional Buy! If you missed, make it sure to check it out!

The next Stretch Goal seems to have gone through all of her nine lives already.

If we reach $7,100k we will unlock the Kickstarter Exclusive zombie Black Cat for all backers, including her Zombie Hero Piece, ID Card for playing her in Zombie Mode, and Spawn Card for fighting her in Hero Mode!

Note the X-Men Resistance core box is needed to play in Hero Mode.

ZOMBIE MODE: As she’s now a zombie, one might think Black Cat’s luck has run out. But if she ends up on the winning side of this struggle, isn’t that good luck? Her supernatural luck is still at her side, helping her satiate her hunger with infallible attacks and fortunate SHIELD spawns.

HERO MODE: Misfortune seems to haunt any Super Hero that decides to go against Black Cat, as their attacks will tend to miss time and again.

Daily Bugle – February 2: Morning Edition + Tile Set

Today, before we reveal the Daily Bugle, we bring you epic maps for epic battles.

For $30, the Tile Set is a Kickstarter Exclusive pack for Marvel Zombies that brings a full extra set of all the game tiles included in the core boxes and all expansions. This hefty set of 32 double-sided tiles allows players to create epic custom maps and missions, without being restricted to only using one side of each tile. You can take the elevator between all 3 levels of the X-Mansion in the same game or have all floors of the Baxter Building accessible at the same time! Double the size of Central Park or incorporate it together with the Subway into your New York map. Likewise, you can create a sprawling Hydra Base or take the action directly from it into the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier. The possibilities are endless!

Please note that the tiles themselves are not exclusive, being the same ones contained in the core boxes and expansions. However, this Tile Set collection will not be going to retail.

The Tile Set contains:

• 9 New York tiles from the Marvel Zombies core box.
• 9 X-Mansion tiles from the X-Men Resistance core box.
• 4 Baxter Building tiles from the Fantastic 4: Under Siege expansion.
• 6 Helicarrier/Hydra Base tiles from the Hydra Resurrection expansion.
• 4 Central Park/Subway tiles from the Clash of the Sinister Six expansion.
• 1 Punchboard with extra tokens.

The Tile Set is not included in either the Hungry Pledge or the Devourer Pledge. If you want to have endless options for your custom maps, make sure to add the Tile Set to your pledge as an Optional Buy!

In this edition, read all about how the hunter became the hunted!

Today’s Daily Reward is adding the Kickstarter Exclusive zombie Kraven for all backers, including his Zombie Hero Piece, ID Card for playing him in Zombie Mode, and Spawn Card for fighting him in Hero Mode!

ZOMBIE MODE: Kraven’s instincts as a hunter have only grown since becoming a zombie. His mastery of combat styles aside, his desire to hunt down the deadliest prey is now a basic need. He gains additional bonuses if there is a nearby Super Hero to challenge him!

HERO MODE: While he must constantly sate his newfound hunger, he still prefers the thrill of hunting down the toughest prey. The higher the Danger Level, the more dangerous he becomes, especially if you happen to be the highest in play!

J. Jonah Jameson is already in a heated discussion with his staff about today’s Evening Edition.

She’s On the Case

If we reach $6,900k we will unlock the Kickstarter Exclusive living Jessica Jones for all backers, including her Super Hero Piece, ID Card for playing her in Hero Mode, and Spawn Card for fighting her in Zombie Mode!

HERO MODE: Jessica is of course no slouch when it comes to combat. Her strength puts her leagues above many other Super Heroes, and enhanced durability means she can usually take as much as she doles out. Far from a mindless brute, however, her capabilities as a detective also make themselves known when being controlled by a player. Utilizing this skill, she can gain insight into potential incoming threats as well as discover previously hidden Bystanders!

ZOMBIE MODE: While possessing superhuman strength, durability, and the ability to fly, certainly comes in handy, her expert sleuthing skills are what separate her from the rest. Players will need to carefully consider their Activation Order when Jessica is on the case, as she will respond to the first Zombie Hero to perform Actions!

My Octopus Hero

As we enter the final 48 hours of the campaign, we've reached the $6,500k mark, and unlocked an (un)deadly arachnid:

The next Stretch Goal will certainly be able to lend a hand in the fight against the zombies.

If we reach $6,700k we will unlock the Kickstarter Exclusive living Doctor Octopus for all backers, including his Super Hero Piece, ID Card for playing him in Hero Mode, and Spawn Card for fighting him in Zombie Mode!

Note the X-Men Resistance core box is needed to play in Hero Mode.

Hero Mode: Eight limbs are better than four, and Doctor Octopus utilizes his mechanical arms to quickly move around the board as well as keep out of reach of the zombie hordes. While not normally in his nature, snapping Bystanders out of danger is made much easier with the long reach of his tentacles.

Zombie Mode: Otto Octavius knows he’s just a man, and makes sure to use his tentacles to keep the zombies as far away from him as possible. Players attacking him will often find themselves flung far away.
