Time to check out the latest headline!
This edition is a real hot mess.
Today’s Daily Reward is adding the Kickstarter Exclusive zombie Human Torch for all backers, including his Zombie Hero Piece, ID Card for playing him in Zombie Mode, and Spawn Card for fighting him in Hero Mode!
Note the X-Men Resistance core box is needed to play in Hero Mode.
ZOMBIE MODE: Johnny Storm prefers his meals hot. Should enemies move into his Zone or attempt to attack while next to him, Human Torch can retaliate by literally turning up the heat, roasting all foes around him.
HERO MODE: The greater his appetite, the hotter the Human Torch burns, causing more damage to Super Heroes around him! This means that the later he shows up (aka, the higher the Danger Level) the more latent damage players will take for being around him!
J. Jonah Jameson is already in a heated discussion with his staff about tomorrow’s Morning Edition.

In this edition: The benefits of having a nurse around during the zombie apocalypse.
Today’s Daily Reward is adding the Kickstarter Exclusive Claire Temple for all backers, including her Bystander Piece and 2 Spawn Cards for hunting her in Zombie Mode or rescuing her in Hero Mode!
Note the X-Men Resistance core box is needed to play in Hero Mode.
Claire Temple is used to tending to the crime-fighting wounds endured by the likes of Daredevil or Spider-Man. By Rescuing/Devouring her, the player is able to heal their wounds by discarding Trait cards.
J. Jonah Jameson is already in a heated discussion with his staff about today’s Evening Edition.

This is not a trick! Loki was really unlocked!
In the next Stretch Goal, the Daywalker adds zombies to his hunt list.
If we reach $5,270k we will unlock the Kickstarter Exclusive living Blade for all backers, including his Super Hero Piece, ID Card for playing him in Hero Mode, and Spawn Card for fighting him in Zombie Mode!
Note the X-Men Resistance core box is needed to play in Hero Mode.
Hero Mode: Grit and determination make Blade one of the toughest characters in the game. Being a half-vampire doesn’t hurt either. His sword attacks can cut through hordes of zombies, and his Dhampir physiology helps him withstand wounds dealt by the undead.
Zombie Mode: Blade’s vampire hunter skills translate remarkably well to hunting zombies. He can sense when Zombie Heroes go Ravenous, granting him additional Actions to hunt the players.

His arrival was certainly motivated by our most recently revealed Optional Buy, the Artist's Special Edition Set, that comes filled with living Heroes! Make sure to check it out!

Hero Mode: Loki has faced the undead before and is more than ready to outsmart them. Bringing the full force of his illusions and spells he’s able to manipulate the zombie hordes in many ways, misdirecting them, and even turning them against each other. There’s no mischief he cannot manage.
Zombie Mode: Attacking Loki can be an exercise in frustration. You strike true and believe to have eliminated him, only to see a S.H.I.E.L.D. Trooper fall to the ground and Loki grinning at you one Zone away.
